Interprofessionality as a process in a school setting
Conventions, framings and regulations

Abstract : This article analyzes the interprofessional dynamics at work in a dance project in a primary school, within the framework of arts and cultural education (ACE). By combining observations, interviews, and institutional records, and drawing on the analysis of a workshop episode in a CM1-CM2 class, the article shows that the tensions between artists and teachers stem less from a rejection of the sensory dimension than from framing conflicts over the legitimacy of knowledge. By articulating the “chain of cooperation” (Becker, 1988), the “chains of cross-framing and appropriation” (Eloy et al., 2021), and the concept of interprofessionality (Hatano-Chalvidan, 2016), the analysis highlights that interprofessionality is built through successive frictions and adjustments, within institutional regulatory spaces that foster the construction of a shared professional culture.
Keywords : interprofessionality, chain of cooperation, cross-framing, arts and cultural education, dance in schools.
