<p><i> <strong>Résumé :</strong> </i> L’enjeu de cet article est de questionner la motivation des élèves de lycée professionnel. Les lycéens de <span class="caps">LP</span> ont la réputation d’être moins motivés que leurs camarades de filières générales. Cette réputation serait connue à la fois des élèves et des enseignants. Dans cette recherche, deux objectifs sont poursuivis. Tout d’abord, il s’agit d’analyser la motivation des élèves de <span class="caps">CAP</span> en la comparant à celle des élèves de filière générale. Dans un second temps, nous posons l’hypothèse selon laquelle les enseignants de <span class="caps">LP</span> surestiment les besoins motivationnels de leurs élèves et que cette perception est susceptible de générer des conceptions de pratiques pédagogiques peu favorables aux apprentissages. Plus précisément, nous souhaitons montrer qu’en s’emparant des problèmes motivationnels dans leur classe, les enseignants sont susceptibles de les accentuer et/ou de limiter les apprentissages des élèves. À ces fins, nous nous appuierons à la fois sur des analyses quantitatives et qualitatives.<br class='autobr' />

<p><strong>Motivation of the students in vocational high school : between reality and illusion</strong><br class='autobr' />
<i> <strong>Abstract : </strong> </i> The aim of this survey is to question the motivation of vocational high school students. Those students have a reputation for being less motivated than their peers in general education. This reputation is known to both students and teachers. In this research two goals are pursued. Firstly, it is to analyse the vocational training qualification student motivation (<span class="caps">CAP</span> di-ploma in French) by comparing it to that of general education students. Secondly, we hypothesize that teachers in vocational education overestimate the motivational needs of their students and that this perception is likely to generate pedagogical practices designs unfavourable to learning. Specifically, we want to show that dealing with motivational problems in the classroom, teachers are likely to accentuate and / or limit student learning. To do this, we will rely on both quantita-tive and qualitative analyses.<br class='autobr' />
