Résumé : Pour examiner les rapports entre textes officiels et disciplines scolaires, l’article s’intéresse à la genèse de l’éducation technologique au collège entre 1962 et 1985, successivement étiquetée « technologie », « technologie-physique » puis « éducation manuelle et technique ». Les fonctions des textes officiels pour la définition et l’organisation de cette discipline et la nécessaire contextualisation de ces documents situés à l’articulation de la détermination et de l’application des politiques éducatives en sont l’objet.

Abstract : In order to examine relationships between official texts and school disciplines, the paper focuses on the genesis of technology education for middle school between 1962 and 1985, successively labelled « technology », « echnology-physics » and « manual and technical education ». It enables to discuss the functions of the official texts for the definition and the organization of this school discipline and the necessary contextualisation of these documents located between designing and implementation of educational policy.xt transposi-tion operated by legislators in the organisation of primary institution.
